BROADCASTING FROM AN ENGLISH COAL MINE.-—Godfrey Baseley, a programme assistant in the British Broadcasting Corporation’s Midland region, which comprises many industrial areas, goes below ground to the coal face to talk to miners on the job at Snibston colliery, Coalville, Leicestershire. Mr Baseley was born in the Midlands and has been broadcasting for nearly 20 years as actor, variety artist, and outside commentator.
