Our fight is not against the Hindus or Sikhs. We are fighting so that a true verdict of the people can be obtained by fair, free methods.” Mr Gandhi told his prayer meeting to-day that he could not put his signature to any Scheme for the division of India. He added that his conversations with Mr Jinnah yesterday had been friendly! although there could never be agreement between them on the question of dividing India.
