ELLESMERE DRAINAGE BOARD
AGREEMENTS WITH CATCHMENT BOARD SIGNED Two agreements with the ’North Canterbury Catchment Board were signed by members of the Ellesmere Land Drainage Board at a meeting yesterday, under which the Catchment Board will take over the work of the latter body. One agreement related to the merger.of the two boards, and
the other covered arrangements for the Lake Ellesmere ’outlet to the sea. The chairman of the drainage board (Mr F. Coop) and the chairman of the finance committee (Mr C. E. Schoffer) signed the document lor the drainage board. A number of letters received were forwarded to the Catchment Board which took over all the work in the drainage board’s district on April 21.
