CREYKE ROAD BUS SERVICE
Sir.—The motion passed by the Hillmorten branch of the Labour Party demanding the Tramway Board to discontinue the Creyke road bus service, and add an extra bus to the Somerfield service is typical of the selfishness of some branches of the Labour Party. The action taken by this particular branch is one-eyed, as it only looks at the position from their own selfish viewpoint. The Creyke road bus is well patronised by the residents, and has proved a great convenience, not only to the women and children, but also to the workers during lunch hours; and when more labour is available, and the Tramway Board is able to provide a full service (instead of part time as at present). I feel sure the Creyke road service will pay as well as any of the other lines. —Yours, etc., NOT ONE-EYED. April 15, 1947.
