AUCKLAND WATERSIDERS
Sir, —I was pleased to read in “The Press” of Saturday your straight, outspoken comment on the Auckland watersiders’ action. It seems hard to think that, a body of men have come down so low that they have no respect for themselves or anyone else. Surely there must be a bad element such as Communists, who are spreading through this country doing harm wherever they go. However, why doesn’t our Government wake up and take steps to stop the tactics of strike leaders, agitators. loafers, wasters, etc. Mr Semple is the only outspoken man among them. The position should be dealt with before this fine country comes a thud. Higher wages, and ijgher cost of living come back on to C ° me ‘° April 12. 1947. FAIR PLAY '
