STEAMER EXPRESS WHARF
Referring to a letter which appeared in “The Press’’ yesterday about conditions at the steamer express wharf at Lyttelton the manager of the Christchurch branch of the Union Steam Ship' Company Ltd. (Mr P. L. Hodge) said, “unfortunately, the correspondent’s remarks were warranted. However, the Union Steam Ship Company has no jurisdiction over the wharf and would welcome improved facilities.”
