SHOPPING TICKETS ON TRAMS
Sir, —Many housewives who do their shopping partly in the ColomboCashel street centre and partly in the Colombo-Armagh street centre have often only a limited amount of time available for shopping, and carry goods of heavy weight from one centre to the other. It would mean a great service to them if the Tramway Board would introduce a cheap shopping ticket, if possible, for one penny, for the distance between Victoria square and Lichfield street only, or in the opposite direction.—Yours, etc., A .
