CONSCRIPTION IN BRITAIN
TWO-DAY DEBATE IN COMMONS _ LONDON, March 30. The House of Commons will tomorrow open a two-day debate on the bill providing for peace-time conscription. The case for the Government will be put by the Minister of Defence (Mr A. V. Alexander) and the Minister of Labour (Mr George Isaacs). Much criticism is expected to come from the Opposition, for which Mr Churchill will open. On Wednesday, the Minister,-of Fuel (Mr E. Shinwell) will make a statement on fuel restrictions. A 10 per cent, cut in railway travel over the Easter holidays has lea to protests.
