INDIAN CITY PARTLY DESTROYED DURING RIOTS.—A scene in the main street and business centre of Amritsar, the second city in the Punjab, after recent rioting had been quelled. The latest casualty figures in the Punjab riots show that 2060 persons were killed and 1104 injured. Parts of Amritsar were almost completely destroyed and resemble a blitzed town. Amritsar is the sacred city of the Sikhs and has a population of about 390,000.
