OPENING OF COUNTY SEASON
(Rec. 11.30 p.m.) ADELAIDE, Jan. 22. “A limited English cricket team will go to New Zealand at the end of the Australian tour on March 7, and the whole team will fly back to England,” says Jim Mathers, the Sydney “Daily Mirror” correspondent. “This will enable the Englishmen to keep faith with New Zealand. It will also enable the Englishmen to get back to England in time for the opening of the county cricket season.”
