HIGH STANDARD OF ENTRIES Comment on the high standard of entries were made by the judges (Messrs R. Jigger and L. Alice Fox Challenge Cup (best garden in State House competition).—?. Cotton, 109 Bowhill road, 1; R. Smith. 18 Hardy street, 2; K. Dale. 11l Bowhill road. 3. Best Vegetable Garden.—P. Cotton. 109 Bowhill road. Best Display of Flowers.—Mrs C. Hudson. 21 George street. Best Display of Shrubs and Roses.—K. M. Power. 100 Hawke street. Best Lawn.—K. Dale, 111 Bowhill road. Garden with best appearance from the street.—Mrs C. Hudson. 21 George street. Best garden not viewed from street.— Mrs C. Hudson. 21 George street. Garden gaining most points, exclusive of cup winners and runners-up.—Mrs C. Hudson. 21 George street. Most improved garden.—Mrs A. H. Ragg. 67 Lonsdale street. Best back garden.—R.
