DUTCH-INDONESIAN BATTLE
CHINESE SUFFER IN FIGHTING (Rec. 7 pjn.) BATAVIA, January 19. The Netherlands Government announced that 250 Chinese were killed, 1000 wounded, and 600 are missing as the result of a Dutch-Indonesian battle at Palembang between January 3 and 5. Other Chinese lost their homesand were the victims of looting and arson when the battle surrounded them.
