HENRY WALLACE TO VISIT BRITAIN
GUEST OF EDITOR OF “NEW STATESMAN”
(Rec. 8 p.m.) NEW YORK, Jan. 14. Mr Henry Wallace,' who was vicePresident of the United States and Secretary of Commerce under President Roosevelt and until he resigned as a result of a disagreement over foreign policy, is to visit Britain early in Anril as the guest of Mr Kingsley Martin, editor of the “New Statesman and Nation.” Mr Wallace said he was going to Britain as a representative of “that section of American opinion which believes peaceful relations with Russia to be feasible.” During his visit, which is expected to last about a week, Mr Wallace will deliver two public addresses.
