A mysterious turn to the retail butchers’ closure in Sydney and Newcastle was given to-day by the departure of the secretary and president pf the Meat and Allied Trades Federation for an undisclosed destination. Newspaper representatives were told that the two mep, Messrs T. A. Herbert and H. Barnes, would be absent for an indeterminate time for an unstated’ reason.
