INCREASED PAY FOR ’ HUNTERS (P.A.) WELLINGTON. Jan. H A general improvement in the W and working conditions of employe®* of the wild life and pest contra* branch of the Internal Affairs Department was announced to-day by wf Minister of Internal Affairs (Mr W. . Parry). First-grade hunters will be granted an increase in wages of 12s 6d a wec» and an estimated 6s 3d in bonuses, ijg system of partial payment on res“J* by bonuses on kills was being continu ed and those earnings would be Kep to the same proportions in relation w wages as before, said the Minister.It was considered that an effleten hunter should be able to make £* * , a week from bonuses, which wou* give him a total income of £7 2a 6° • week, as well as food. Where conditions of precluded a man from earning nor ?” bonuses, he would be paid the sw dard estimated bonus, which wou be included in his wages.
