“ OPERATING ON WIDE SCALE ” INTEREST IN ATOM BOMB (Rec. 9 p.m.) NEW YORK, Jan. 13. Russian espionage agents, including members of the secret police, are operating on a wide scale in the United States, according to Mr Kiril Alexeiev, a former member of the staff of the Russian Embassy in Mexico, Who has outspokenly criticised the Russian form of government since declaring that he would never return to his home land because he preferred American democracy. Mr Alexeiev, at an interview with newspaper correspondents, said the Russian agents were especially interested in the atom bomb. He did not believe Russia yet possessed an atom bomb, but her scientists were working assiduously to discover the secrets of nuclear fission.
