PRIZE IN LOTTER
FORMER RABBITER NOW RACEHORSE OWNER
(P.A.) AUCKLAND, January 14. A former rabbiter of Taihape, Walter Devon, who won £50,000 in an Australian lottery when Wotan won the Melbourne Cup in 1936, arrived from Australia to-day. Since winning the lottery he has been a successful racehorse owner and is visiting New Zealand to add to hia racing string. “I lead a very quiet life in Sydney,” he said.
