ANNUAL MEETING HEED The Rev. J. B. Dawson presided at the annual meeting of the members of the Shirley Methodist Church. The following officers were elected: —society stewards. Messrs E. Burn, R. E. Dixon, H. B. Moore, G. Nuttall. W. J. Salkeld, and T. H. Turner; associate stewards, Mesdames S. H. Provost and A. Perani, Messrs H. Cummack, I. Fowler, R. Gopperth, T. Marks, J. Phipps, and M. Tunnicliffe; minister’s stewards, Messrs C. P. Moore and G. H. Robertson; sacramental stewards, Mesdames F. J. Holland and W. D. MJarks; representatives of congregation to leaders’ and quarterly meetings, Mesdames O. Cummack and A. W. Emmett, Miss K. Moore; Overseas Mission secretaries, Miss K. Moore and Mrs Mrs J. Bradley; Home Mission secretary, Mrs R. E. Dixon; orphanage secretary, Mrs Emmett; agent for “Methodist Times,” Miss R. Emmett; agent for “Open Door.” Miss Thomas; reporters, Misses M. Cummack and J. Palk; envelope stewards, Mrs Cummack, Messrs W. J. Salkeld and J. H. Yarr.
Reference was made to the great loss the church had suffered by the death of Mr J. S. Wilson, and it was decided to place on record the members’ appreciation of his many years of faithful service.
