BRITISH TRADE WITH RUSSIA
(Special Correspondent N.Z.PA.) LONDON, Sept. 19. Russia’s agreement with Britain removed the chief obstacle to renewed commercial trading between England and the Soviet by settling the terms of payment for British goods bought by the* Soviet during the war*. A considerable number of problems remain to be overcome, but it is felt, nevertheless, that an encouraging start has been made.
The Russians are to send a token timber shipment to Britain before the winter, and are resuming the export of furs to this country.
