(From Our Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON, September 20. The House of Representatives was in. a peaceful mood to-day and members cO-Operated in passing 10 classes o2 Estimates, With relatively little discussion. in time for the Introduction of two bills before the House rose The Votes included those for Tourist and Health Resorts Rehabilitation and Education, any one of which u an Ordinary year might have kept members arguing for most of the day One bill deals With the nationality of married women and the other amends the Local Election and Polls Bill, chiefly by changing the date of most elections to the last Wednesday in November and abolishing the occupier’s qualification. The second point may be contentious. when the Minister of Internal Affairs (the Hon. W. E. Parry) introduced the bill he said the abolition Of the occupier’s vote had been recommended by the Local Government Committee, which included. Opposition members. . “Will you give us all the recommendations?” interjected Mr J. N. Massey (Opposition. Franklin), Who said he had opposed this recommendation.
