DEBUTANTE BALL
Members of the Past Pupils’ Association of the Sisters of Our Lady of the Mission held a very successful ball in the Winter Garden last night, when 43 debutantes were presented to the Most Rev. P. F. Lyons by Mrs T. Aspell, president of the Past Pupils’ Association. After the presentation th» debutantes’ dance was watched- with interest by the other guests. Bishop Lyons was accompanied by the Rev. Father F. Finlay and the Rev. Dr. Harrison. Other specially invited guests were representatives of old pupils’ associations of St. Mary’s College, St. Dominic’s College, the Convent of the Sacred Heart, St. Bede’s College, and St. Kevin’s College. Members of the ball committee were Mesdames Aspell, J. M. Shelley, W. Rodgers, Misses B. Sloan, E. McGee, G. Green. F. O’Gorman (honorary secretary), Messrs P. O’Connell, H. Shaw, E. Haughey. V. Consedine, Alex McDonald. D. Aspell, C. Sanders, L. Ryan, and W. Rodgers.
