MORE INDUSTRIES FOR N.S.W.
(Rec. 8 p.m.) CANBERRA, May 3. Six new industries, requiring 1850 employees, are to be established in New South Wales, according to a statement by the Minister of post-war Reconstruction (Mr J. J. Dedman). Cotton mill* sponsored by an English manufacturer and requiring 250 employees will be established at the Villawood explosives factory and at another munitiena factory. There will be five other industries. The principal of these will be a large works for the construction of prefabricated houses and components. A large English concern will produce dental machinery, and there will be a textile factory and plants for the production of engineering tools and electrical equipment Industries to be developed throughout Australia will employ 8700 people.
