WAR CRIMES
Sir, —I hope that the Dominion will support the resolution in UNO of Uruguay that the death penalty be not applied to war criminals. My faith in the ability -of the United Nations to solve the problems facing the world diminishes with each execution. The killing of criminals, as distinct from their re-education, seems to me one of the mbst inhuman ideas of the old world out of which we are trying to grow.—Yours, etc., N. M. BELL. February 13, 1946.
