RUSSIANS APPLY TO LEAVE MANCHUKUO
SOVIET CITIZENSHIP SOUGHT
(Rec. 7 p.m.) LONDON, January 6. “Thousands of Russian emigrants from Manchukuo are reported to be applying to Soviet consulates for Soviet citizenship,” says Reuter’s Moscow correspondent. “From mid-November to December 31 there were 7000 applications in Harbin alone. The applicants moved to Manchukuo before the October, 1917, revolution. They followed sympathetically Russia’s struggle throughout the war.”
