TUNNEL ROAD
■ CONFERENCE ON BOUNDARIES TO BE HELD A conference of local bodies and Government departments interested in the definition of the line of the Tunnel road has been called for to-morrow afternoon by the acting-district engineer of the Public Works Department (Mr E. F. Evans). In a letter received by the Mayor of Christchurch (Mr E. H. Andrews) yesterday, Mr Evans explained that arrangements were being made to prepare plans and schedules showing the boundaries of the area affected by the construction and of other works, local or national, which might be incidental to the main road deviation and tunnel. "Any possible effect of the tunnel job on' the harbour development at Lyttelton and any street deviation work contemplated by the interested local bodies will now have to be considered," the letter added.
