Sir, —Can you, or anji of your readers please enlighten me regarding Two questions concerned with meat ration- . ing. One,' do country people killing their own meat for . household consumption still retain their full quota of meat coupons a year, leaving them free to dispose of these to their friends in town? Two, why is the meat rationing system so arranged that /many butchers can say to their customers “Hand me over your coupons and order any amount of meat you wish.?— Yours, etc., CURIOUS. June 24, 1945. . ■ . 4 [The Rationing Officer states that farmers killing their own meat are required before any of the meat is consumed either by themselves or members of their households to surrender all meat coupons of the persons concerned to a rationing officer. Butchers, are empowered to supply rationed meat only up to, the value of coupons held by customers.]
