RANGIORA There were small yardings in all classes, except pigs, at the weekly stock sale at Rangiora yesterday. Prices ranged as follows: Sheep.—Lambs, 19s 6d. Cattle.—Springing cows, £ll. Pigs,—Baconers, £3 12s to £4 16s; porkers, £2 8s to £3 ss; stores, £1 15s to £2 ss; slips, £1 5s to £1 10s; weaners, 9s to 14s 6d. PLEASANT POINT (P.S.S.) TIMARU. May 11. Small yardings were forward in most sections at the Lorneville stock sale today. Prices for fat sheep were much the same as the prices ruling at recent sales, but nearing the end of the fat cattle sale values improved by about 15s. Good quality fat wethers brought up to 35s 3d, medium 31s to 32s 6d. light and unfinished 28s to 295, prime maiden ewes up to 2fis fid, heavy-weight ewes 21s to 22s 6d, medium 17s to 19s, freezing ewes ]3s to 15s fid according to quality. Six wethers at 33s 6d and four ewes at 23s 4d were the highest prices of the sale. There were fewer cattle yarded than last week.
