Prendergast. 110, 36—74. Humic Compost Club.—Now beginning its third year of existence, the New Zealand Humic Compost Club has a membership of more than 2000. The aim of the club is to encourage the fertilisation of the soil with humic compost made from animal and vegetable wastes, instead of with watersoluble chemical fertilisers, and by this means promote plant, animal and human health. The demand for the club’s magazine has necessitated the printing of an extra edition, and the total number of copies printed since the club’s inception totals 19,000. LYTTELTON ADVERTISEMENTS.
