Austral New Zealand Mining, Ltd.— For the 14 days ended at midnight on May 1. the dredge operated by Austral New Zealand Mining, Ltd., recovered 200 ounces o£ bullion in 211 hours. Blackwater Mines, Ltd.—A review of development work carried out at Elackwater mines for four weeks to April 23 was as follows:—No. 14 level: Back-shunt north at 1295, advanced 40 fed on reef, averaging 17.38dwt over 25 inches. No. 15 level: Drive north advanced 33 feet on reef, averaging 19.69dwt over 52 inches. Drive south advanced 16 feet on reef, averaging 15.27dwt over 38in. No. 15 level: Rise at 2070 advanced 21 tect on reef, averaging 17.79dwt over 20 inches.
