PRESENTATION AT HALKETT
There was a large attendance of residents and visitors from adjoining districts at an evening social held in the Halkett School in honour of Aircraftsman lan Walker. Presentations were made by Mr J. D. Henderson and the Rev. T. G. Calder from residents and. guests, the church, and the Miniature Rifle Club. Mrs J. D. Henderson presented a fountain pen from the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union and Mr M. V. Davis spoke for the Returned Services’ Association. Mrs W. Hayes and pisses Beulah Jenkins. and Ena Henderson played dance music, v : - . ' ' ■ ■
