MAGISTRATE’S COURT
In the Lyttelton Magistrate’s Court yesterday, before Mr E. C. Levvey, S.M., John Kerr was fined 20s and ordered to pay costs on a charge of riding a motor-cycle over a fire hose which was connected with a hydrant. For being in arrears to the extent of £22 on a maintenance order made in favour of his wife and child, Edward L. Corkin was sentenced to three months’ imprisonment, the warrant to be suspended as long as he pays 20s a week in addition to current maintenance.
