POISONED EGGS KILL 47 PEOPLE
NEW YORK. NOV. 20. The superintendent of the Oregon State Insane Hospital at Portland states that a powerful mineral commonly used in insecticides killed 47 inmates and sickened 450 after a dinner of scrambled eggs. He said that the cook left a pot of eggs unattended for 10 minutes, during which time some trusted inmate could have added the poison.
