RAILWAY WORKERS’ WAGES
(8.0. W.) RUGBY, March 12. About 200,000 men and women, railway workers in Britain are to receive; immediate increases as special war pay following an award just announced by the Railway Staff National Tribunal. In the lower traffic grades the increase is 4s 6d a week. The total war advance for men has now reached 15s 6d a week and for women 12s 9d. The tribunal refused equal pay for women clerks doing men's work.
