CONGRATULATIONS ON PROGRESS A message congratulating the Christ, church Emergency Precautions Scheme organisation on its comprehensiveness and the progress that is being made has been received by the honorary organiser (Mr A. R. Galbraith) from the Director of National Service (Mr J. S. Hunter). Mr Hunter wrote as follows: —“I have to acknowledge with many thanks a copy of your second monthly progress report on the Christchurch Metropolitan Emergency Precautions organisation. I have perused the report with a great deal of interest, and I wish to congratulate his Worship the Mayor, his executive, and all others directly concerned on its comprehensiveness and on the excellent progress being made.” In his latest progress report, Mr Galbraith says that progress is being steadily maintained and that therefore in the near future several of the committees will be In a position to have “try-outs” of their organisations.
