MISS E. TENNENT’S VISIT

Miss E. Tennent, Commandant-in-Chief of the New Zealand Voluntary Aid Detachments, who is on a tour of inspection in the South Island, has completed her tour of Canterbury and will leave to-day for the West Coast, where she will visit Greymouth, Hokitika. and Westport. She will then return to Wellington via Nelson and Blenheim. Arriving in Christchurch from the south on Thursday. Miss Tennent, that afternoon, met the executive of the Red Cress Society, and in the evening she addressed a meeting of all Christchurch units. On Friday afternoon, at Waikari, she - addressed V.A.D.’s from Amuri, Cheviot, Waikari, Scargill, and Haw'arden, and. in the evening at Rangiora she met all the units from Rangiora and the surrounding districts.
