—-♦ MEN'S AVOIDANCE OF MILITARY SERVICE (P.A.) WELLINGTON, June 6. “This case does reveal that employers are not observing the obligation imposed on them by the regulations. With the co-operation of employers the avoidance of military service, except by an isolated few, could be prevented,” said Mr J. H. Luxford, S.M., in imposing sentence on Harry Wilson, a hotel porter, for failing to register for military service. It was revealed during the evidence that Wilson, who did not possess a registration card, had held several positions.
