SPORTS FIXTURES FOR TO DAY
The sixth round of the Canterbury Rugby Football Union’s senior competition will be played to-day. University and Air Force will provide the principal game at Lancaster Park, after a curtain-raiser between Technical and Albion. Other matches will be as follows:—New Brighton v. Linwood, Rugby Park; Old Boys v. Menvale, Lancaster Park South; Wigram v. Godley Head, Lancaster Park West; Army v. Southern, Show Grounds; and Christchurch v. Sunnyside, Sunnyside. The main Association football match, which will be played at English Park, will be between Thistle and Celtic, with Western v. Air Force as the cur-tain-raiser. Rangers will play Army at Hagley No. 2, and Nomads will meet Technical at Richmond -Park. In the Rugby League series, Addington will play Sydenham at Sydenham Park. Waimairi will jneef Rakaia-Hornby at Hornby, and at.Wdolstdft; Lfttwood will play men’s winter tennis competition-'Will be played at Wilding Park, and there will be cash cycling races at New Brighton. The basketball and hockey series will be continued, and there will be several golf and harrier club fixtures.
