BLACK-OUT
Sir,—May I say that, like “Resident," I ; ialso have noticed lights at'Waltham mad, similar to .those which he refers p-.at Wilsons road. They are a ; recent Nanovation, are most glaring, and can a*.,seen for miles. It would be interesting to know at what distance they yijfe discernible by vessels approaching jlstteltoh. MjWiy have any curtailment of light tfi&the town and erect these “lightK!s”? ,1 believe there, are four, of ' altogether. If a foe happened emprop a bomb at Waltham road, fraga would be an explosion, that smuld Wreck the town. May I iniiaffife why and by whose order, they liwe'put up?— Yours, etc., : HOME GUARD. |May 2, 1941.
