MIGRATION TO NEW ZEALAND
-.. Sir, —I note in to-day’s issue of “The Rress” that Mr W. Holmes, a visitor 'from England, advocates migration to this ' country - after the war. May I, suggest that should -our Government approve such a scheme, steps ; should he taken to ensure that only " the-best type of young person be? admitted, arid that preference be given tp:' the youth of the United States of America. New Zealand does not want persons who have been on the dole all their lives and who.immediately on arrival here, TOply for unemployment benefit. OUr past experience of this, type of immigrant should not' be forgotten.-*—Yours, r" ' ■' n.z. | May 2, 1941. , . ■
