NORTH OTAGO TO PLAY W AIM ATE REPRESENTATIVE TEAMS SELECTED North Otago will meet Waimate in representative A and B grade basketball matches at Waimate to-morrow afternoon. The following North Otago teams have been selected:— A Grade—Forwards: A. Blyth, A. McKenzie, I. Gunn (Oamaru), R. Smyth (Enfield); centres: E. Surridge (W.G.H.S.), I. Hayes. L. Uttley. J. Collins (Oamaru); defence; J. Borrie. N. Pearson (W.G.H.S.),' J. Ericson (Star). B Grade—Forwards: K. Bain (W.G.H.S.), M. Hunter, F. Fallon (Polytechnic), D. Whyte (Papakaio); centres: B. Borrie (Papakaio). J. Wormald, C. McWhirter, B. Rush (Polytechnic); defence: B. Aubrey (Papakaio), C. Sherwin (Totara), H. Webb (School), and H. Ludemann (Papakaio). TO-MORROW’S GAMES Because of representative matches no games will be played to-morrow in the A and B grades of the North Otago Basketball Sub-Association’s competitions. The draw for the C grade is as follows: Oamaru v. W.G.H.S.. court 1, 2 p.m. (Miss Bee); Glencoe II v. Polytechnic, court 1, 2.45 p.m. (Miss Bee); Georgetown v. Totara, court 2.2 p.m. (Miss O. Irwin); Enfield v. Ardgowan, court 2, 2.45 p.m. (Miss O. Irwin); Glencoe I a bye.

The Walpiata, from Auckland, is expected here this evening to load for Wellington and Auckland, via ports. The Walnul is due on Tuesday, July 25, to load for Wellington, Gisborne, and Napier via ports. _ . The Waipori, from Newcastle, Port Stephen, Port Kembla. and Sydney, via Hobart, Bluff, Dunedin, Timaru, Lyttelton. Oamaru, and Bluff, is due here about July 27.
