LAND SPEED RECORD FOR AEROPLANES
GERMAN MACHINE’S SUCCESS (Received March 21, 5 p.m.) BERLIN, March 20. Germany’s latest twin-engined Junkers bomber has established a world speed record for land aeroplanes. It carried a load of two tons for 621 miles at an average speed of 32H miles an hour. The previous record was 294£ miles an hour.
