ANTI-RELIGIOUS PROPAGANDA
TO THE EDITOR OT TH* PRESS Sir, —I wish someone would answer a recent letter in “The Press.” “Catholic Truth” asserts that there is no such thing as a Jewish race. This statement made me sit up and do some hard thinking and reading. I always thought the Jews were a distinct race, like the British, Germans, and Italians. But “Catholic Truth” says we.only call them Jews because they believe in a religion called Judaism. I always thought I could tell a Jew by his dark eyes and skin, and the shape of his nose. I never tried to tell a Catholic, Protestant, or Christian Scientist by this shape and colour test. “If Catholic Truth” will kindly explain, I will burn a candle for the repose, of his or her philosophical soul.
