ST. MARGARET'S OLD GIRLS . SWIMMING BATH FUND } 1 Since their decision that a swimming bath would be the best way to com- ’ memorate the silver jubilee of St. Margaret’s College, past and present pupils of the college have held many ] pleasant little entertainments to raise ) funds for their objective. Last night many old girls and their friends ( gathered at the Navy League Hall for a card party which had been arranged i by the following committee of the Old Girls’ Association, all of whom were present: Mrs C. FANCY DRESS CARNIVAL

GATHERING AT GLENTUNNEL The seventh birthday celebrations of the Glentunnel Women’s Institute were held in the Glentunnel Public Hall and took the form of a fancy dress carnival for young and old. The hall was festooned w.ith streamers of red, gold and green, with clusters of balloons suspended from the ceiling. Music for the dancing was played by the Kimberley trio orchesi tra, and extras by Miss E. Teale and Mr G Campbell. Messrs J. Marsh and W. J. Harrison were masters of ceremonies. Mnvpitv dances were won by Titherldge and Mr V. Prestidge and Mrs p Smith and Mr J. Mitchell. Mrs G. C. Derrett (Hororata) judged the fancy costumes and awarded the prizes as Mtows.
