CANTERBURY CENTRE’S MEETING
FOUR EVENTS AT ENGLISH PARK
The Canterbury Amateur Cycling Centre continued its series of evening meetings at English Park last evening. The .fivemile scratch race produced a thrilling finish, G. L. Thomson and J. C. Murray going over the finishing lipe together. The events resulted: — Half-mile Junior Handicap—N. Harris (40yds) 1, A. W. McLachlan (75yds) 2, L. Green 'soyds) 3. Time, 65isec. Won by half a length. T ,. , . Half-mile Open Handicap—R. M. Kidd (45yds) 1, L. Green (80yds) 2, L. BUck (85yds) 3. Time, 62 3-6 sec. Won by a Isnfith. Quarter-mile Boys’ Handicap—K. Kersley (25yds) 1, F.
