AVONSIDE CLUB’S EVENT
The Avonside Racing Pigeon Club conducted a race from Orari on Saturday. The birds were liberated by the stationmaster at 11.30 a.m. On the homeward journey they encountered a head wind and adverse weather. Following were the placings:—A Walsh’s Wildfire, 588.720 yards a minute, 1; W. Valance’s Legioneer, 570.240, 2; A. J. W. Wright’s Air Lady, 577.980, 3; R. Lowcay’s Mercury, 577.800. 4.
