INCREASED ROLL

CHRISTCHURCH TECHNICAL COLLEGE NOTICEABLE PRESSURE ON ACCOMMODATION The need for more accommodation at the Christchurch Technical College is again being felt, according to a report presented last night to the Board of Governors of the college by the principal (Dr. D. E. Hansen). "The pressure on accommodation, which was relieved two years ago by the opening of the Papanui branch, is again being Celt in the main school, and we shall be glad when additional buildings can be erected," said Dr. Hansen. As an indication of the growth of the college, Dr. Hansen said that tne roll number on March 1 at the main school was 1137, and 276 at the Papanui branch. This was 167 more than the roll number at the same date last vear. Five more teachers were needed.
