REQUESTS FOR AN INQUIRY
ALLOCATION OF DOMAINS BOARD LEVY _ ' ■ Requests for an inquiry into the allocation of its levy were received by the Christchurch Domains Board at us meeting yesterday afternoon from two contributing county councils. The board decided to take the necessary steps to have an,inquiry made. Letters were received from the WaimaS and Halswell County Councils Asking the board to have a common set up to make the inquiry into the following matters:-The allocation of the <evv by the board; the area subject to the levy; the representation -of contributing authorities en the board. I Members cf the board did not confer that a commis-ion was necrssary, powers in connexion with beard matters being vested in the Gov-ernor-General. -It was agreed that the chairman (Mr H. Kitson) and Mr t. George should attend to the requests.
