PLUNKET SOCIETY
PAPANUI-MERIVALE SUB-BRANCH Mrs Fred Armstrong presided at a meeting of the Papanui-Merivale subbranch of the Plunket Society held in the Papanui Plunket rooms. Nurse H. Williams reported that 217 adults, 210 babies, and six pre-school children bad visited the rooms during the month. There had been nine new cases. Arrangements were made for the Plunket party to be held in the beautiful gardens surrounding the homes of Mesdames W. N. J. Thacker and E. Douglas Pullon (Merivale). Mrs H, J. Lyon reported that the mothers' committee had met and had agreed to take charge of the cake, produce, and sewing stalls. There will also be putting competitions, and the tennis courts will be available for players. Nurse H. Williams will be in charge of the children. It was decided to ask Mrs R. H. Ballantyne to act fin the committee. A donation was received from Mrs T. R. Barfett.
