VISIT OF PROMINENT PREACHER
! _ « THE WESLEY 81-CENTENARY The Rev. C. Irving Benson, superintendent of the Methodist Central Mission, Melbourne, and one of Australia's most eloquent and cultured preachers, is visiting New Zealand for the Wesley bi-centenary. After being principal speaker at the recent commemoration gathering in Wellington, Mr Benson will visit all the chief centres of the Dominion, holding inspirational meetings. He will speak to-morrow morning at the St. Albans Methodist Church, address a united gathering in the Durham Street Church in the afternoon, and preach in the Durham Street Church in the evening. Mr Benson is widely known throughout the Australian continent for his regular broadcast from Melbourne on social and religious problems. A keen student of Oxford Group teaching, his book on the "Eight Points" has a wide public.
