HUNTER BROWN ESSAY COMPETITION

AWARD TO FORMER STUDENT OF LINCOLN COLLEGE The report of the examiners on the 1937 Hunter Brown essay competition was received at a meeting of the executive of the Canterbury Agricultural College Old Students' Association, at which Mr L. B. Scott presided. . The award was made to Mr H. &. Garrett, a fmal-yeat degree student. It was decided, on the recommendation of the examiners, that an attempt be made to have all the essays entered in the competition published, in booklet form for general distribution. Advice was received that the Federation of Young Farmers' Clubs had awarded the 1938 old students' scholarship to Mr J. A. Ballingall, of the palmerston Young Farmers' Club. New members elected totalled 2d, making a total membership of 44«.
